Back in May I wrote a post and added a video clip of Abby reciting Psalm 23.
At first, I got some nice emails from friends and family who had seen it and thought it was cute. Three months later it has been viewed over 2 million times online. It's posted on YouTube, a new site called GodTube and our Bluefish TV website.
For some reason in the past 3 weeks the "Little Girl and Psalm 23" video clip has gained a ton of momentum. Of course, I know she's the cutest little girl in the world ... but now a lot of other people do too.

The longest commute EVER
On a typical day I drive 22.2 miles. That's 11.1 miles to work and 11.1 back home. It takes about 20 minutes ... meaning I can leave the house at 8:15 and arrive to work no later that 8:45. Coming home it is rare that I arrive past 6 PM.
Today my commute is 3041.4 miles. I woke up this morning at 4:45 to catch a 6:45 flight to Los Angeles. After flying into LAX I drove through downtown LA morning traffic to make it up to Pasadena for a meeting with Erwin McManus. It's at this point that I need to say that the long commute is completely worth it. I have worked with Erwin on four Bluefish TV projects including Elevate, Elevate 2, Illustrate and Chasing Daylight. He was also the headlining speaker at our first ever Fusion event back in 2004.
I have had the opportunity to meet with Erwin a few times over the past few years and I am always blown away by his graciousness and encouragement that he extends my way. He logged over 200,000 airline miles last year -- but still he is willing to meet and talk about potential projects. I hope after today's meeting that we can work together again on a video and an event in the near future.
Now I am about to board my plane for the flight back to Dallas. I won't make it home by 6 PM tonight ... more like 9 PM. Not bad on a day when the commute took me half way across the country.

FCA in Kansas City
A few days ago I was invited to the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) headquarters in Kansas City. For the past few years Bluefish TV has provided some video illustrations to go on the FCA DVD that is distributed to over 8000 huddle leaders on junior high, high school and college campuses.
Dan Britton is the guy who invited us up. Dan is the Vice President of Ministry Programs, but more importantly is a super-nice, super-cool guy. He picked us up from the airport, introduced us to many on the FCA staff and even had a gift bag with a nice FCA shirt and Tony Dungee's new book, Quiet Strength.
We met to talk about future projects that we could work on together. There might be some great opportunities for us to to work together.
It's great to get out of the office from time to time and peek in on another ministry to see what they are doing and how they are doing it. I hope the relationship with FCA only grows more over the coming years.
By the way, they fed us "Fat Charlie's" BBQ for lunch. Kansas City is supposed to be known for their BBQ -- now I am no expert, but I'll take Dickie's here in Dallas any day.

The Story Behind the Hymn: It is Well with My Soul
We’ve all probably sung the hymn “It is Well with My Soul” a dozen times. But how many of us know the story behind it? In 1873, Horatio Spafford wrote the hymn after the loss of his business and the tragic death of his four daughters.
This moving video illustration captures the story and challenges us to live a life on faith...
