Overwhelming Response to the $1.99 Video Sermon Illustrations

The word is out about the new download store. Since we released all of our video illustrations at $1.99, thousands of people have visited the new Bluefish TV.com. Here’s some of the feedback we’ve received:

Bluefish, way to go guys!!! Someone has finally figured out that making high quality video illustrations affordable (only $1.99!) I can finally download a 3 minute clip for something less than what I would normally pay for a feature film. I hope the other guys will follow your lead on this video revolution!
-- Warren M. from Cornerstone Baptist Church

My youngest son works full-time in video production for a church in the Minneapolis area creating similar clips for their church of 8,000. I have wanted to use similar clips but knew there was no way our small church of about 75 people could hire someone to do this type of quality. You are providing a great service for those of us who are pastoring smaller churches!
-- Don B.

Our mission is clear, to create high quality videos illustrations that help people teach at an affordable price. With that in mind we have just produced 50 new videos that are now on sale at our downloadable store. There are dozens of new real-life stories that deal with issues dramatic clips that explore the Big Bang theory, and a look into global issues on world religion. And following up on the clip Prayer: Can you Hear Me Now?, we put a twist on the new Citibank commercial, and also shows us how wonderful prayer is – a direct line to God.

Using Video Sermon Illustrations to Teach

There are many ways to take advantage of media in your church or small group. You can use video as an ice-breaker, to set the mood of the worship time, or to support a point in your message.

Here's an example from a friend of mine on how he used a Bluefish TV video:

If you are looking for a clip to get your people in a worship frame of mind you ought to check out Psalm 8. I used this recently in both a small group and large group setting.

Small group ::
I wanted to get our people to engage in a deep level of prayer. Our group often focuses on periphery items like Uncle Joes Toe and Aunt Jane’s pain, instead of getting real. I want our people to expect great things from God. So – I talked for a minute or two about that type of praying and then I played this clip. Since its Psalm 8 it was a perfect set up because our people were seeing how Big and Huge our God is and it allowed them to get real with a God like that.

Large group ::
I needed to get a bunch of people who didn’t know each other to get comfortable worshiping together. We had the band play one song and then we showed this clip. It took the focus off of ourselves and put it where it should be – on Almighty God!
